Marvelous old historical building previously named "The Hollywood", was first opened in 1941 with the motion picture When Ladies Meet starring Joan Crawford and Robert Taylor. In 1991, after restoration and remodeling, Oscar and Bennie Nipper opened the "Bay Area Harbour Playhouse" creating a center for dramatic activity with live productions and classes in Theatre Arts for children, teens and adults.
